Daggy Jumper Day To Help Support Brisbane Youth Services

The Arqus Design Team participated in ‘Daggy Jumper Day’ to help support the homeless and disadvantaged young people in Brisbane. An organisation operating since 1977, the Brisbane Youth Service provides emergency assistance, as well as a range of support services, that enable young people to live independently in the community. Arqus Design Team on the Brisbane River

Swim 4 Kids

Supporting UCI annual charity event Swim 4 Kids, the team at Arqus Design created a designer swim cap ‘Crush’. The Finding Nemo inspired cap featured alongside creations from design firms across Brisbane in the spirit of raising money for new equipment at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

Croquet a Hit With the Arqus Design Team

To celebrate the arrival of it’s newest addition, Satu (daughter to Nicole and Essa Immonen), the Arqus Design team caught up for an afternoon of croquet. Following a delicious BBQ lunch, the team was tutored by Peter (of Merthyr Croquet Club) in this enjoyable yet surprisingly strategic sport. With a beautiful breeze, brilliant sunshine and delicious afternoon tea, the team came away feeling refreshed and satisfied that they had mastered the game of croquet.

Brisbane Architects Orienteer City Streets

Arqus Design held their inaugural “Desorienteering” challenge through the Brisbane city in May. Within a limited time frame, each team had to decipher four riddles/clues, find the location and sketch an element of each place. With a varying pallet of sketching mediums, including charcoal, water colours, fine pen and pencil, each team presented their work during an “after challenge” BBQ at the Roma Street Parklands. 2013 Vinnies CEO Sleepout for Local Architect

Scott Peabody joined thousands of CEO’s from around Australia on the annual Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise awareness and support for homeless people and those who are at risk of becoming homeless.  This fantastic community event sees CEO’s of Australian companies pull together for a night of sleeping on cardboard in the cold and toughing it out to gain insight into the homeless experience. Brisbane Architects Hold Their Annual Desorienteering Event

The team at Arqus Design were again running the streets of Brisbane City to decipher riddles and clues to lead them to the architectural point of interest.  This year the architectural subject has to be photographed, with the winning overall photograph taking out the Arqus Design Winning Prize.  An afternoon at South bank with a beer and boules made for a relaxing and fun afternoon.

Queensland Multi Cultural Centre Grand Opening

The Queensland Multi Cultural Centre was officially opened on October 25, 2012, by The Honourable Glen Elmes (Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Multicultural Affairs and Minister Assisting the Premier). Funds Raised for CEO Sleepout

Arqus Design raised $5,349 for the St Vincent de Paul Society CEO Sleepout held on Thursday 21st  June 2012.  Our Director Scott Peabody joined a total of  157 Queensland CEO’s to raise a combined total in excess of $890,000 to go towards the funding of new projects for Vinnies and assisting with their provision of existing homeless services.
